Go from simply taking snapshots to making photographs with award-winning artist, noted author, and lecturer, Monte Nagler. Learn about depth of field, filters, composition, how cameras work and more, as Mr. Nagler demonstrates the principles of good photography and shares his personal history through the viewing of photographs from his personal collection. Class time will be devoted to an optional morning critique of students previous photographic work as well as an afternoon photography excursion on the grounds of Interlochen Center for the Arts. No experience is necessary and all cameras are welcome. Students interested in submitting their photographs as a part of the optional in-class critique must send their images via email no later than May 2. See the supplies tab for more details.
