Join Interlochen Public Radio's classical music host Amanda Sewell for a look the career of Leonard Bernstein. Composer, conductor, pianist, and educator, Bernstein was one of the most prominent figures in classical music during the 20th century. This course will survey Bernstein's life and career, including the Young People's Concerts, his Charles Elliot Norton lectures at Harvard, his long tenure with the New York Philharmonic, his professional and personal relationships, and some of his most-loved music, including Candide and West Side Story.
