Join us for Interlochen Online’s Winter term. These 4-week virtual programs, taught by our world class Interlochen faculty, bring the magic of Interlochen to you. Students engage with instructors in real-time, using Zoom technology, and access program materials through the Canvas Learning Management System. Students in grades 2 through 12 grade can choose from programs in all of the Interlochen arts disciplines - music, visual arts, creative writing, film and new media, dance, theatre and interdisciplinary arts.

Middle School and High School Offering: Theory for Composers

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00-8:00pm ET

Description: This immersive course is designed to provide students with valuable information related to the field of music composition. Course participants will learn about the fundamental aspects of musical creativity, including a study of Sound, Harmony, Melody, Rhythm, Growth, and Notation, while examining a diverse array of musical selections from the literature of the 20th and 21st centuries.
